Crazy Tag
Objective
Tag other players to bring them to a knee — be the last one standing.
Set-Up
Use cones to mark a clearly defined boundary appropriate for your group size. Larger groups need more space; tighten it for smaller groups to keep the action moving.
How To Play
Everyone starts as "It" — there are no teams, no safe players, just survivors.
Players run freely and attempt to tag anyone within the boundary
If tagged, you drop to one knee immediately and freeze — but keep your eyes locked on the person who tagged you
The moment your tagger gets tagged by someone else, you're back in — stand up and re-enter
If two players tag each other simultaneously, settle it with Rock-Paper-Scissors — the loser kneels and watches the winner; when the winner gets tagged, the loser is revived
Last player standing wins the round
If tagged, player drops to one knee and keeps eyes locked on the person who tagged them. When they get tagged, they take a knee and you get up!
If two players tag each other simultaneously, settle it with Rock-Paper-Scissors
Progressions
Coach Power-Up — The coach can tap any kneeling player on the head or point and call "revived!" Use this intentionally to keep players who keep getting tagged early feeling included and active.
Force Field Zones — Place 3–5 hula hoops around the boundary. A player can step inside a hoop for a maximum of 3 seconds and cannot be tagged. No camping — if they stay past 3 seconds, they're fair game.
Coach's Ball — The coach holds a soft ball or foam dodgeball. Kneeling players can call for it — the coach throws it to them, they catch it and are revived, then throw it back immediately before standing.
Buddy System — Players are paired up. If one buddy goes down, their partner can sprint over and revive them with a tap on the head or shoulder. If both buddies are down, they can call out for the coach to revive them.
Alliance Mode — Groups of 3–4. Same rules as Buddy System but within the alliance. Any standing member can revive a kneeling teammate. If an entire alliance is down, they're out of the round — raises the stakes and encourages players to protect each other.
