Flip Cone

Objective

The objective of Flip Cone is to be the first person to flip all their cones upside down before any other students.

Set-Up

Set up lines of 4 to 5 cones in a straight row, with one student positioned at the end of each line. Ensure enough space between the lines for students to move freely and safely.

How to Play

All students should be positioned at the end of their respective lines, facing the cones. The instructor or designated leader will give the signal to start the game.

On the command "Go," students begin flipping their cones as quickly as possible. They can use any method to flip the cones, such as using their hands or feet.

Students must flip the cones one at a time, ensuring each cone is completely upside down before moving on to the next one.

  • If a cone falls over during flipping, the student must reset it to its original position before continuing.

  • Students must not interfere with or obstruct the cones of other students in adjacent lines.

Winner: The first student to successfully flip all their cones upside down and stand behind their line with their hands raised is declared the winner.

Fair Play: Encourage fair play and good sportsmanship throughout the game. Please make sure to emphasize the importance of respecting the rules and the efforts of other players.

Variations & Progressions

To add complexity, you can introduce obstacles or challenges students must navigate while flipping the cones, such as hopping on one foot or spinning between flips. You can also vary the number of cones or the distance between them to adjust the difficulty level.
