Important Staff Compliance
Punctuality Attendance
Timekeeping is an essential aspect of life and most jobs, especially within the school environment. The school staff expects you to be a positive role model for the students. Please ensure you are always at your school site 30 minutes before recess begins and ready to start on time.
You will clock in and out of each session.
IMPORTANT: If you miss five days of Active Education contracted work in one calendar month, you will receive a written warning unless you can provide legitimate reasons, e.g., a doctor's note. If this happens a second time, your contract can be terminated due to poor attendance and commitment to the program.
If you need a specific day off, you must communicate this via Homebase and with your AE Manager a minimum of 72 hours before. Failure to meet these requirements will leave the coach ineligible for bonuses and pay increases. Severe failure will lead to termination.
If you are Sick
If you are sick and unavailable to attend your program, YOU MUST contact your AE Manager as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to contact the company and let us know you will not be coming in. Your AE Manager will try to find coverage for you.
Compliance Procedure
Active Education has a three-strikes policy
AE will terminate your position after three warnings – verbal, written, and final
However, should the incident be significant, no warning will be provided, and instead, termination
A warning will normally take place via a phone call, and then be followed up via email
Examples of minor warnings
You are late for your session.
Not giving enough notice when requesting a day off.
Not having the correct uniform.
Examples of Severe warning
Failure to attend a session without notifying your AE Manager.
Showing negligence in the program.
Poor communication with the school or AE Manager
School complaint(s).
Please note that warnings may make a coach ineligible for a bonus.
