Santa’s Sleigh Tag
Objective:
The Grinch is trying to tag all the reindeer and send them back to the North Pole. Players ‘Reindeers’ dodge the Grinch and help each other out, just like Santa’s reindeer team.
Set-up:
Mark the play area with cones.
One or two players are ‘The Grinch’, the others are reindeer.
How to Play:
In Santa's Sleigh Tag, if the Grinch tags a reindeer, that reindeer goes to the “North Pole” corner and waits there.
Progressions / Variations
Christmas Tree Safe Zones:
Place some hula hoops around the area. When a reindeer stands in one, they can’t be tagged for a few seconds. It’s like a little safe spot!Present Power-Ups:
Add soft dodgeballs as “presents.” If a reindeer grabs a present, they can only be held for 5 seconds. For a short period, they cannot be tagged, so they’re super helpful.Reindeer Rescue Mission:
If a reindeer is tagged and sent to the corner, their teammates can throw a present to the corner for them to catch and to rescue them. It’s all about helping each other out!Festive Movement:
To keep things fun, we’ll have rounds where everyone moves in silly ways, like prancing like reindeer, waddling like penguins, or dancing like elves. It keeps everyone laughing and engaged!
