Game Explained
Space:
Students stay in the marked area. A field you use for a game will broadly be applicable—Mark out boxes on the sides for the hospitals. Approx 5x5 yard areas should do it.
Task:
Everyone is ‘it. Tagged, and you must go to the hospital and perform a ball manipulation with your ball before you come back in. E.g. tap the ball with the insides of your foot x10 or throw the ball up in the air and catch it.
Equipment:
Ball for all. Different types/colors of cones or dots for hospitals.
People:
All participantsareit
Outcomes –Travel with the ball at different speeds, changing direction and identifying space. & Ball familiarity/manipulation.
Variations/ Progressions
Space: Adjust area to suit numbers/abilities. E.g., Smaller space means more turning with the ball, and bigger space means more running with the ball.
Task: Can play elimination version –last patient standing. Can add safety boxes/dots that students can use for
Equipment: Use cones/dots to mark safe areas.
People: Can change it, so there are x2-3 taggers instead of everyone, is it.
